Parents of premature babies can also apply for benefits if their child has medical conditions which will prolong past their full-term date. You will need all medical records and it's possible to apply while the child is still in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Because it can become a lengthy process, it's a good idea to have your application in processing before your baby's homecoming.
